Effects of temperature when analyzing saccharides using SUGAR SC1011 (a column for saccharides analysis) are shown here. Saccharides having carboxyl or aldehyde group may have anomers. It is possible to prevent anomer separation by analyzing at elevated temperatures. It is also possible to have a higher theoretical plate number and resolution by it. Analyzing at an elevated temperature around 80 °C is recommended when using columns such as SP0810, SC1011, SC1821, KS-801, and KS-802.
