Please use this column with a suppressor-type ion chromatography system.
The relationship between column temperature and retention time of each anion in the anion analysis column IC SI-36 4D is shown below. When the temperature is increased, the elution time of sulfate ions decreased. At 40 °C or higher, the elution orders of sulfate ion and bromide ion are reversed. Considering the elution time of carbonate, we recommend a column temperature of 30 °C and the use of 25 mM potassium hydroxide aqueous solution as eluent. The relationship between column temperature and retention time of each anion in the anion analysis column SI-36 4D is shown below. The elution behavior with temperature depends on the kind of anion. The higher the temperature, the slower the elution of sulfate ions. At 40 °C or higher, the elution orders of sulfate ion and bromide ion are reversed. Considering the elution time of carbonate, a column temperature of 30 °C is recommended, when using 25 mM potassium hydroxide aqueous solution as eluent.
