Laminarin is a kind of water-soluble β-glucan contained in seaweed and mushrooms. β-glucan is attracting attention as a functional ingredient. The human body has antineoplastic, antithrombotic, antihypertensive and other effects. When the molecular weight of laminarin was measured using OHpak SB-806M HQ column for aqueous SEC (GFC), the weight average molecular weight was determined to be approximately 21,000 in terms of pullulan.
