Acarbose, miglitol and voglibose are amino sugars each possessing amino groups, and α-glucosidase inhibitors which have been used as oral anti-diabetes drugs. Metformin contains multiple amines and falls under the biguanide drug family; which is known as oral anti-diabetes drug. In this application, those drugs and metformin were simultaneous analyzed using HILICpak VC-50 2D, a polymer-based column for HILIC mode.
