Organic acids are by-product of hydrolysis of biomass. The organic acids are the cause of fermentation inhibitor, because these have strong growth inhibitory effect for microorganism. Acetic acid and lactic acid are analyzed with maltooligosaccharides (dimmer – tetramer) and ethanol at the same time.
SUGAR SH1821 is good for analysis of mixture of saccharides and organic acids. Eluent position of organic acids can be controlled by using sulfuric acid aqueous solution.
