Galacturonic acid is one of the uronic acids and is a component of bacterial polysaccharides such as pectin. This chromatogram shows an analysis of galacturonic acid oligomers using an Asahipak NH2P-50 4E column with phosphate buffer as the eluent. Oligogalactronic acids, from monomer to hexamer, are separated.
