Question I will be installing a new shodex sugar KS-801 column and and KS-G guard column. I understand that the column is run at 80C, is the guard column also heated or it outside the column oven. Also if you could send information about the equilibration the column that would be great     Answer We recommend to heat KS-G with KS-801 to obtain the good separation. The order of the connection is as following. Injector -> KS-G -> KS-801 -> detector The procedure for the equilibration is just running the eluent. In the case of H2O as the eluent, run H2O, and start the analysis. Because of the shipping solution is H2O, this procedure is enough. Even if the eluent condition is sodium chloride aqueous solution, for example, it is enough to run the eluent condition till the stabilization of the base line.     Additional Comments
