Question I have two questions about the suitability of solvents. (1) Can the column withstand 0.05% Tween-20 in the eluent? (2) The manual says that polar organic solvents are also fine for eluents. How high a concentration is okay to use? (specifically, is 70% ethanol okay?)     Answer (1)TWEEN-20 The packing materials of KW-800 series columns are not deteriorated by the use of Tween-20 or the other nonionic surfactants. 0.05% of Tween-20 is usable as the eluent. However, please note that the surfactants may be remained on the surface of the gel materials after use of the eluent. If the remaining surfactants interfere the next analysis, we recommend to wash the column by the solution including organic solvents. (2) Polar organic solvents KW-800 series column are usable with 100% of methanol and 100% of acetonitrile. Although we have not evaluated ethanol, we think 70% of ethanol is also usable as the eluent for KW-800.     Additional Comments
