Question I am interested in information regarding column care for the KS-802 column. Is there anything that should be done to flush the column prior to first use? Is water the appropriate solvent to store the column? Does the sodium need to be re-generated in any way during use?     Answer 1, Equilibration for KS-802 It does not need the equilibration for KS-802 before use. It is possible to start running the eluent for the first analysis. 2, Solution for storage We recommend to store KS-802 column packed with water. If you are afraid of the growth of microbes, 0.02% sodium azide aqueous solution is also usable. 3, Regeneration The packing material of KS-802 column is as following. Base material : Styrenedibvinylbenzene copolymer Functional group : Sulfo Counter ion : Na+ So, the counter ion is removed when acid solution is passed. In this case, we recommend the following procedure for the regeneration of the counter ion, Run 10mM NaOH aqueous solution at 0.5mL/min. After running the solvent, replace the in-column solvent completely with H2O. (Sometimes, injection of 40micro-L of 0.1M NaOH aqueous solution is will be sufficient.) However, this regeneration procedure is just needed when any unusual condition or separation is observed.     Additional Comments
