Question
updates on his cyan/cyanogen chloride analysis.

Answer
He provided us some tips:
Temperature control is the key for the analysis.
It is important to worm up reaction coil (at 80oC for ~ 1hr prior to analysis). Using 0.5g chloramine T is not stable enough during the analysis, recommend to add 4 g instead. Also it is important to make the reagent basic to make the reaction go (he is using 0.2M NaOH).
current detection limit is about 1 ppb with PDA (4laser). injected ~700 waste water but do not see any problem. using precolumn filter and guard column. regular replacement of precolumn filter.
using 560 nm wavelength provides much better S/N, eluminates noise that is observed by 638 nm.
