Question
Shodex ST3R reagent substitute

Answer
I am lookig for the best way to analyses organic acids and sugars for one of my potential customer. I saw here on your webpage that you use Shodex ST3-R reagent along with your Shodex chemistries. This to be used on a Shimadzu Prominence system. I need more details on the reagent and if this seems to be the best way to do this type of analysis, than I will sale the client a UVVis or a DAD along with a fluorescence detector for sugars. But I need to details on the hardware requirred?

Additional Comments
Shodex ST3-R reagent is only sold in Japan, but alternative method we recommend is discussed in the following paper.

(I’m sorry because of the copy right, I cannot send you the actual paper)

The operating conditions used are below.

Eluent: 3mM HClO4, Flow rate: 1mL/min
Reagent; 0.2 mM BTB, 15mM Na2HPO4, 2mM NaOH, Flow rate: 1 mL/min
Column: KC-811
Temperature: 60oC
Wavelength: 445 nm

As long as the customer can set up the delivery mixing flow by themselves, it does not require any special equipments.
