Question     Answer Thank you for using Shodex column and contacting us. I heard from Marlon that with new SB-802.5 column, you are not obtaining the same result as previously used SB-802.5 column. Do you know the maximum MW of your target polysaccharide? The exclusion limit of SB-802.5 is 10K Da whereas that of Agilent PL aquagel 30 is 30K Da, so there might be a possibility that your polysaccharide has MW larger than 10KDa. I understand that this does not explain the reason that you were able to obtain a nice peak with old SB-802.5 column. Do you know any history of the old column? i.e., the mobile phase used, if anything other than the condition you mentioned. The column history can change the feature of a column. Also I would suggest you to try injecting your sample using pure water as a mobile (after cleaning the column with water first). Please let us know your findings and also I look for receiving your old chromatogram. Thank you.     Additional Comments
