Question
I have recently purchased a SH1011 column as you have shown an application for th analysis of n-acetylneuraminic acid. The application was titled – Monosaccharides Composing Sugar Chain. Can you tell me what concentration of n-acetylneuraminic acid is being analyzed? did you perform any sort of sample preparation such as acid hydrolysis?

Answer
The concentrations of analyte (standard) we used for the analysis were 1.25 mg/mL of Glc, Man, Fucose, and 0.125 mg/mL Sialic acid, GlcNAc, and GalNAc.
Injection volume was 10 uL and the standards were dissolved in mobile phase, but won’t be a problem if they were dissolved in water. We do not think it requires any sample pretreatment.
