Question
My friend Ray Hoff at Youngstown State needs column advice. One of his colleagues wants to see a handful of 7-8 sugars in wood pulp with rid.

Answer
We have an application for the analysis of saccharides in wood using SUGAR SP0810 column.
http://shodex.net/index.php?seitenid=1&applic=625

Would you please take a look and let me know if this is something you have in mind?
The saccharides measured here were: cellobiose, glucose, xylose, galactose, arabinose, and mannose (although the separation of last two are not baseline level).
This is a method used at NREL for bioethanol production QC.

One thing needs to be noted is that the acid or ioninc components should not be injected to SP0810 directly, since they can remove modified Pb ligand. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
