Question
Could you please send me the technical insert and availability of this column you mention? The customer checked the column DS-613 and according her that is the one she needs.

Answer
Both of them are polymer base RP columns, but made of different polymers and may result in different separation performance.
If the customer was using D18-613, ODP-50 6D will most likely provide similar separation pattern.
Depends on the components she is analysing, DS-613 may also provide good separation, but we cannot say that for sure.

Some general information are written below:

DS-613: styrene divinylbenzene copolymer base, no function group, 6um, 200A.
TPN: >7,000. pH 2-12. Good for very hydrophobic substance analysis.

ODP-50 6D: polyvinyl alcohol base, C18 modified, 5 um, 250 A.
TPN: >9,000. pH 2 -13. Separation pattern is similar to general silica C18 (ODS) column.

Unfortunately, we don’t have both of them in US stock.
However, we have ODP-50 4D (4.6×150 mm instead of 6.0mm ID for 6D) in stock.
Generally speaking, smaller ID column will provide sharper peaks. So ODP-50 4D could be a good option.
