The customer asked “if the column that Shodex offers is only ED-413, which only separates aldehydes? Or it can also be applied to separate ethanol?”

Answer
Is the customer trying to separate aldehyde and ethanol in the same sample?
This is a reversed phase column, so separates compounds according to their polarity differences.
I think it should be able to separate them all. One example is below using DE-613 (really similar to DE-413, different particle size and i.d.)
