- We track mostly glucose and xylose in my group, but others track cellobiose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, arabinose and mannose. The column works fine for what we do for the most part but the fact that arabinose and mannose practically co-elute makes it difficult to close mass balance of sugars when data calls for it

recommendation for the analysis of fluoride
Answer
For the analysis of fluoride, ion chromatography will be the choice.
They are listed on pg 20-21 of our catalog.
Depends on what other anion the customer is interested in (or present in the sample) and also the HPLC system the customer has, the choice of the column may differ.
Obviously, it’s easier to use non-suppressor method and in this case I would recommend NI-424.

If the customer uses suppressor system, SI90 or SI50 will be the choice. SI50 will produce sharper peaks.
