Question
A customer needs an equivalent to the Waters Envirogel GPC Cleanup Columns (19 × 150 mm and 19 × 300 mm, 15 µm, 100 Å, S-DVB) used in EPA Method 3640A for cleanup of organochlorine pesticides, PCBs, and other environmental contaminants in fish and biota samples. The method uses 100 % methylene chloride at 5 mL/min.

Answer
Shodex GPC H-2002 (20 × 300 mm, 10 µm, S-DVB) is comparable to Waters Envirogel GPC Cleanup Columns for use in EPA Method 3640A.


It uses the same S-DVB polymer packing and is fully compatible with 100 % methylene chloride, acetone, and cyclohexane for lipid-removal workflows.
