- We track mostly glucose and xylose in my group, but others track cellobiose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, arabinose and mannose. The column works fine for what we do for the most part but the fact that arabinose and mannose practically co-elute makes it difficult to close mass balance of sugars when data calls for it

The samples we have are bio-based polyols that are compounds with multiple hydroxyl groups per molecule, and they should be well dissolved in ethanol or dioxane-water mixture with a volume ratio of 4:1. The estimated molecular weight should be around several hundred g/mol to several kilo g/mol, which is kind of low. will you have right column to determine molecular weight in this range? will THF be appropriately miscible with our solvents?
