Question
I have questions bout guard column.
I am using SB-803 column with PBS buffer but pressure too high(50bar/0.1 mL/min flow rate).
What’s the normal pressure in 0.5mL water flow?

I think guard column problem. Can I use SB-807 guard colum instead of SB-803 guard colum?
Or any recommand?

Answer
Is this column pressure or column+system pressure (please see our old communications)?
Please take a look at certificate of analysis (CoA) came with the column. It should state the column pressure.
I don’t have an access to CoA unless I ask Japan.

You may use SB-807G (guard for SB-807), instead of SB-G (regular guard for SB-800 HQ series). But the particle size is larger than SB-G, so if you are only working with SB-803, it is better to use SB-G to prevent impurities to get into the analytical column.
