Actualmente determinamos perfil de carbohidratos en alimentos, primordialmente en productos lácteos por HPLC y hemos tenido ciertos inconvenientes con nuestras columnas en funcionamiento.

Me recomendaron Shodex para hacer el cambio de columnas, así que les solicito si me pueden hacer llegar información de sus columnas para esta determinación y sus costos.

Como dato, usamos columnas Varian Metacarb 87P:

Se trata de resinas de poliestireno sulfonado (8-10μm, 8% entrecruzamiento) en forma de Plomo (87P).

Regarding the carbohydrate analysis, we have many columns available.

Equivalent to Metacarb 87P will be our SUGAR SP0810.

Would you please tell us what type of problem you are seeing? Is it separation or column life problem?
Also if you could tell us what carbohydrates you are trying to separate, we might be able to recommend other method.

SP0810 Pb ligand column. (equivalent to Metacarb 87P)
maltose and sucrose will probably not give you base-line separation.

Xylose will be eluted before glucose.
