Question
The conditions we are using are close to that. Would there be any soluble salt that could be added to our THF to avoid this interaction of our charged (SO3) molecules (tricarbanilated cellulose) with the columns (Shodex KF-804L, 805L and 806L)? If yes, what concentration should I use?

Answer
Addition of phosphoric acid to THF may help the interaction of polymers having acidic function groups, The concentration should be 10-20 mM (At the lab in Japan, they use ~85% assay phosphoric acid).
It will not alternate the column, so please ask the customer to try this method.

If this does not work, they may need to consider changing the eluent.
It is going to be depending on what solvent can be used to dissolve their specific sample, but possibilities are to use DMAc+LiCl or DMF+LiBr.
