Question
Thanks for the information. I just checked the tubing and the system pressure. It looks like the tubing has been changed to a narrow one thus the system pressure was measured at 10 bar at 0.8 mL/min using water at room temperature. With a column it measured at 42 bar so basically the column pressure was about 32 bar. Is this normal since it is still 10 bar higher than what you have measured.

Answer
Dear Wakayama-san,

Thank you for checking the column pressure of the KW-802.5 column. I will ask the customer to check his system pressure first. If the gel is not the problem he must have some issue with his HPLC.

Later today: The customer has responded that the HPLC tubing was changed for more narrow tubing. I originally asked him about the system pressure, and he said it was not the instrument. Now he says he apologizes.

Thank you for checking the gel lot. I am sorry the customer has spent both of our time.
