Question
I just began to use the NH2P column ordered from your company. In the instruction, the column need to be equilibrated in Ammonium acetate (ph9.3-9.5), could I use the Ammonium bicarbonate or Ammonium formate for the equilibration?

Answer
It is important to use alkaline solvent for this step. So ammonium bicarbonate may work.
However, this conditioning step is optional, it may take longer time to equilibrate the column (to obtain repeatable retention of saccharides) than without but if you prefer, you do not need to perform this step.
