Question
can use metal pump for the analysis?

Answer
As long as you are using UV detector, SUS pump should not affect the analysis (nor cause any damage to the column itself).
Since the presence of metal influences the CD but not UV; PEEK connectors & pump are recommended for use with a CD.
Along the same line, (sorry I wasn’t thinking enough), it will not require you to use suppressor when using UV detector.

The above example uses another IC column with UV detector. Also in this application, metal pump was used.

As for the eluent, we cannot really recommend anything other than Na2CO3 + NaHCO3 for SI-90 column.
With the UV detector, it brings back the option of NI-424 also. The difference, compared to SI-90, will be mobile phse composition and the column length (and it uses SUS housing). I’m wondering if either mobile phase composition will be suitable for the post-column reaction that you were thinking..
I hope this information helps, please let me know if you have further concerns. As you can tell, IC is not my speciality, but I will do my best to find out the answers for you.
