. It looks like we do not get great resolution of smaller PEG samples. For example, a 3kDa PEG comes at the same time as the solvent peak. A 10 kDa sample comes just barely before the solvent peak.

I think we may need to get another column that is tailored for the small end. What do you think?

We have currently only set up 1 of the 2 columns we ordered. Could we perhaps send the unopened one back and exchange it for a column specialized for the smaller polymers?

Unfortunately, DMF solvent peak can be difficult to separate even using smaller pore-sized columns.. In fact, we do have so called solvent-peak separation columns for THF and chloroform mobile but not for DMF. http://shodex.net/index.php?seitenid=1&applic=1193
Would you please send me a sample chromatogram? We’d like to see it and think what will be the best way to solve the problem.
