- We track mostly glucose and xylose in my group, but others track cellobiose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, arabinose and mannose. The column works fine for what we do for the most part but the fact that arabinose and mannose practically co-elute makes it difficult to close mass balance of sugars when data calls for it

I think regular shodex C18 will be good for this kind of analysis. Since there is no application from shodex, I won’t introduce them, but if you google there are many simple applications for the separation of those compounds using a C18 column with buffer + MeOH or ACN + water mobile PH around 6. So either C18- 4D or C18-4C might be even better providing a shorter analysis time w higher resolution.
