Sample: partially-hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM) and some hydrophobically-modified HPAMs

Question
My concern is if it will be working for PAAM with much higher MW (e.g. 20 million) since your exclusion limit of 500,000,000 is for pullulan. Have you had any experiences with HPAM of higher MW? Or do you have any lab facility in North America so that we may send you one sample or two for trial testing?

Answer
Unfortunately, we do not have data on analysis of such a very large molecule.
However, the exclusion limit we list is an estimate since the largest pullulan available is only up to ~2M.
Based on the pore size of the gel and the molecular size of your analyte, I still think SB-807 has the best possibility providing a suitable analysis in your case. Since your analyte is very large and going to be well separated from the “solvent peak” it might provide a smoother peak than the example I linked yesterday.

The SEC column with this large pore size is only available from Shodex, and I cannot think of any other alternatives. We only have sales office in the US and cannot provide testing service. I apologies that I cannot give you the definite answer but I hope you would consider trying SB-807.
