Sample: partially-hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM) and some hydrophobically-modified HPAMs

Question
Our group would like to evaluate the MW and MWD of partially-hydrolyzed polyacrylamide(HPAM) and some hydrophobically-modified HPAMs. The HPAM of interest is of very high MW (around 20 million). Do you have any experiences or suggestions on what GPC column we should use?

Answer
I recommend you to consider use of our OHpak SB column series.
This is a polymer (polyhydroxymethacrylate) based size exclusion column suitable for water-soluble polymers.

Please see page 34 on our catalog attached below for more detail.

We have an example of analyzing polyacrylamide using SB-807 column (also on pg 35 of the catalog).

The exclusion limit of SB-807 is ~500,000,000 (using pullulan as a standard). Thus should meet your requirement.
