Question
Attached is a chromatogram of the best separation we have at this point in time. It’s with the Agilent column.Details about the target analyte are proprietary and cannot be releasedWe are trying for a better resolution of peaks eluting between 36 and 54 minutes; which we believe are isoforms of the sample we are analyzing.
Please forward any input you can offer to us.

Answer
I’m afraid but without details on your sample, it is difficult to say if our column works better or not.
Despite of that, my first suggestion would be our week cation column, IEC CM-825.

The base material of this column is polyhydroxymethacrylate. Different from Agilent column that uses PS/DVB (non-polar) as the base and coated with hydrophilic layer, polyhydroxymethacrylate itself is hydrophilic.
Again, I am sorry but I cannot say how much difference this is going to create.

Which particle size Agilent column were you using?
Generally speaking, simply using the smaller particle gel column will improves the resolution.
Thus, if you were using larger particle size Agilent column, I would suggest to try the smaller particle column even though I wish we could recommend Shodex column…Please let me know if you have further question.
