SB column mobile phase

I am facing a big problem with the column the signal of the ELSD detector does not drop to 0 if i use any mobile phase that has salts, whereas with any other solvent it drops to 0. Also 0.02M NaCl solution shoots up the signal to max.

Sorry for the confusion by using the word salt, with ELSD, you need to avoid non-volatile eluent.
You can certainly use ammonium acetate.
You may want to check the detector.
It may need cleaning or there might be precipitation in the connecting tubings.

SB column can be used with 100% water. Below is operation manual for the SB column.
