Question
A client from Argentina has a problem trying to separate H3PO4 and H2PO3.
She is trying to do the monograph of Pamidronate disodium according to the USP, which recommends to use a columns of 4.6mm
X 10 cm, anion exchange resin polymer base with quaternary ammonium group with size of 10 um.
They are using Shodex IEC QA-825 de 8 mm x 75 mm with Mobil face (0.47 ml of anhydrous formic acid to 2500 ml of water, adjust pH 3.5 with 2 N sodium hydroxide) with a refractive index detector. The resolution between the two acids should be higher than 2.5, which they cannot separate. The RT is the same.

I try to see if there was an application for Pamidronate disodium, but we don’t have it in our website. According to the description, Shodex IEC QA-825 is the right column for anion exchange
