I receive the Shodex KC-811 column this week, We try to do method development for analysis of tartaric acid.

According to the column shipping document, it can be separated in Mobile Phase : 0.1 % H3PO4/H20.
However, I am looking for long term column storage condition, such as during the long week end.

Can you suggest some storage condition for this column

When you are planning not to use the column for ~1 week, after flushing the column with 0.1% H3PO4, you can simply demount the column from the system, tighten the end fittings and store in the column box.

For the longer storage, I would recommend you to clean the column using 50 mL of 25 mM H2SO4 aqueous solution at 50°C, 0.5mL/min, then replace the eluent back to 0.1% H3PO4 and store the column. This cleaning method can be used as regular wash/ when you observe increase in column pressure/ change in chromatogram.
