- We track mostly glucose and xylose in my group, but others track cellobiose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, arabinose and mannose. The column works fine for what we do for the most part but the fact that arabinose and mannose practically co-elute makes it difficult to close mass balance of sugars when data calls for it

Do you have any info on GFC columns? I’d also be interested in those.
Answer
We have two types of GFC columns.
One is slica base (coated with polymer) called KW series. This is most suitable for protein analysis, but can also be used for other aqueous soluble samples. It is listed on page 44 of our catalog.

The other type is called SB series, packed with polyhydroxymethacrylate gel. It has wider working range compared to KW series (wider pH range (3-10, compared to 3-7.5 of KW) and usable organic solvents). The detail is listed on page 46.
We do not have a specific booklets for them, but some more detail on KW series can be found below.
