Thank you for using Shodex detector.
Have you been consistently using the detector and started to see the problem all the sudden?

As a general reference, the linear range for the RI-101 (when using sucrose as a standard) is +/- 600 uRIU.
Its error range is +/- 2% from the expected straight line.
If you are seeing the linear range largely diverse from this range, the detector may need repairing.
If so, please contact the supplier where you have purchased the detector from.

Another possibility is caused by the sample: Depending on the standard sample you are working on, there may be a possibility that the sample has solubility problem in the mobile phase. Or the sample may show different peak shapes depend on the concentration of your sample. In this case, please draw calibration curve based on the concentration and the peak area (instead of peak height if you are using).
