Question
! I wonder if a 1um sample would travel through the solid phase? Do you have any applications on file with such a large analyte? Does Shodex have an applications library online? I am definitely interested in learning more about it.

Can the flow be reversed in the case that analyte gets stuck on the solid phase?

Answer
We have applications available online, but not that many for SB-807 HQ. As you know there are not that many samples exist as such a large molecule.
Below is the link to couple examples we have.

(Please see the bottom of the product information; Applications for OHpak SB-807 HQ).

The particle size of SB column is 35 um, larger than common SEC column particles.
It should not be a problem to introduce 1 um sample, and we think that the frit size (10 um) will be the maximum size limit.

-Yes, you may reverse the flow direction to clean the SB columns.
