Shodex SI-52 4E 洗浄方法

Question
I have a Shodex SI-52 4E column. The column was in the instrument for about
6-8 weeks when I started losing Bromide/chlorate seperation and Nitrite recoveries. In the past on both Shodex and Metrohm columns, I was able to resolve these issues with the cleaning procedures. For this column, I did the low valiancy hydrophilic ion cleaning, then ran on IC with NO improvement. I then did the high valiancy hydrophilic ion cleaning, still no improvement.

We are a Drinking Water Treatment Plant. The samples we run thru the IC are strictly water samples, treated with ozone (2 mg/L dosage) and chlorine/chloramines (2.5 mg/L dosage). The source water quality is excellent. The treatment LWS follows is for iron and manganese (both typically less than 100 ppb each….all finished treated samples typically < 10 ppb each). The sample path is as follows: autosampler → 0.2um ultrafiltration →0.45um in-line filter →Metrohm Sample prep module →injection →RP Guard disk → 0.45um in-line filter → column → detector Our first column lasted 6 months or more...so I was disappointed that this column is going bad after just 6-8 weeks. Do you have any other suggestions for the column or cleaning? I appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.     Answer
洗浄方法ですが、取扱説明書にある親水性物質/疎水性物質の洗浄方法を行っていた
だいたので、一度、10倍濃度の溶離液（low valiancy hydrophilic ionの洗浄方
法）を封入して一晩置いておき、その後再度分析を行ってみていただくよう、ご依
頼いただけますでしょうか。

それと、ガードカラム（SI-92G）の有無に付いてもご確認いただけますか？ガード
カラムが悪いと特にご指摘いただいている部分は分離しなくなることがあります。
ガードカラムをお使いの場合には、一度、ガードカラムを外して分析を行ってみて
いただければと思います。（分析対象はきれいな水とのことですので、ガードカラ
ムはお使いではないかも知れませんが・・・）

それと、最初のカラムは6ヶ月以上使用できたのに今回のカラムは6-8週間で使用で
きなくなってしまったとありますが、この”最初のカラム”はSI-52 4Eなのでしょう
か？またはほかのSIシリーズのカラムでしょうか？（過去にほかのShodexカラムも
お使いいたできましたらだいているのですよね？）
もし、両者ともにSI-52 4E なのでしたら、シリアル番号をお知らせいただけ
ると助かります。
