Hi Melissa – Can you clarify that the column guard is a disposable cartridge (that would be placed inside a guard column holder)? If so, do you sell the holders as well? If not can you please clarify what the column guard set up is?

Our guard columns are sold as single units, the gel is packed into the housing. We do not have cartridges or holders as we feel the cartridges allow for a dead volume and distort the separation.

In your case, you would use the SP-G guard column with the SP0810 column. Because the SP columns are susceptible to leaching of the lead ions due to acidic media, we can recommend using the Bio-Rad deashing guard cartridges. See link below. The cartridges are designed to remove inorganic salts using cation and anion exchange resins. If you prefer to use a cartridge this is the cartridge we recommend.
