Question
The target is aloe vera , and they are trying to separate :
Mannose
Galactose
Glucose
Arabinose
Xylose
Could you please confirm if this is the right column ?
Also the customers are using this column :
Bio-Rad Aminex HPX-87C (300 x 7.8 mm, 85°C).

Answer
The direct equivalent to Bio-Rad Aminex HPX-87C will be our SC series (I think SC1011 will separates them better than SC1821).
However, as you thought, SP0810 will probably provide better separation compared to SC1011, but will require more than double analytical run time (~9 min with SC1011 to ~20 min with SP0810).

Depends on the reason why customer is considering Shodex column (if they are…or is it only the distributor trying to replace??) we may recommend one to the other. If the customer is experiencing problems in separation using HPX-87C, I would ask Wakayama-san to do modeling with SP0810 (and SC1011) to see the separation efficiency differences.
