- We track mostly glucose and xylose in my group, but others track cellobiose, sucrose, fructose, galactose, arabinose and mannose. The column works fine for what we do for the most part but the fact that arabinose and mannose practically co-elute makes it difficult to close mass balance of sugars when data calls for it

I work in the same group as Chad Talton and am currently working on the USP/NF monograph for Trehalose. Specifically the related substances and assay by HPLC. During my research into the method I came across the Shodex column Sugar KS-801 which was used during method development for USP/NF. Are you familiar with the USP/NF monograph for Trehalose? I have tried Agilent and Phenomenex columns (L58) as specified in the USP and I am not quiet pleased with their performance. Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
