Question
I am using two HT806M now and they seem to work fine except the column pressure is high. When we use the Olexis column (X3) the pressure is about 700 psi for TCB at 145 C with flow rate of 1 ,l/min. Now we see the same pressure for 2X HT806M at the same condition. I expect the pressure will be higher after I put another HT806M on. Do you know the normal pressure for 3X HT806M running at similar condition?

Answer
Particle size of HT and Olexis are the same, but probably how we pack is different.
The backpressure will differ largely depends on the solvent and temperature, so I will not be able to give you a number.
The max pressure we indicate (15MPa) is for each columns. i.e., as long as pressure for three columns (minus system pressure) does not go over 45 MPa (15×3), it is okay for the columns.
If you are concerned, please monitor first system pressure without column. And then pressure of one column, two columns, and three columns.
